Staff Training
Annual and as-needed individual trainings are conducted for staff with a focus on teaching proper procedures for waste management (e.g. recycling and composting) and equipment use to facilitate water and energy conservation.
Student Outreach/Education
Through activities such as Scrape Your Plate Day and Fall Harvest Festival Dining Services provides opportunities for students/customers to connect the concepts of sustainability with their daily realities, whether it be waste prevention or eating local/organic when possible.
Dining Services works closely with CU Environmental Center, along with other campus groups, on additional, ongoing outreach and educational campaigns.
