Gain valuable leadership, managerial, and operations experience through the residence hall's student government before graduating. Hall residents elect their own officers and representatives, giving residents a strong voice in the formation of hall policies. Each semester, the hall council sponsors and coordinates various activities, which may include socials, community service programs, intramural sports, and educational programs.

Look into the Residence Hall Association (RHA), a student government association representing all students living on campus. Working closely with Housing & Dining Services on issues that affect all hall residents and hall environments, RHA fosters cooperation among individual halls while improving the campus as a whole.
