  1. Can academic classes be taken in the residence halls?

    There are a number of residential colleges, residential academic programs, and living and learning communities offering classes and/or seminars in halls. These programs include: Farrand, Sewall, Baker RAP, Business LLC, CLR, Engineering RAP, Hallett LLC, KHP, Libby RAP, and G-RAP. Participation is mandatory for all students who request and are assigned to these programs. Students in these programs generally pay an additional fee to participate.

  2. Are tutors available in the residence halls?

    Yes. We provide tutors for all CU-Boulder classes, subject to tutor availability. There is no charge for this service. You will need to go to your residence hall front desk and complete a tutor request form.

  3. Where can I study in the residence halls?

    Most residence halls have lounge spaces and formal quiet areas where individuals can study. Some residence halls organize study groups several evenings each week.

  4. Is there someone in my hall who can help me figure out how to succeed academically at CU-Boulder?

    Yes. An Academic Support Resident (ASR) lives in each residence hall. He or she is trained to help you with study skills, time management, getting a tutor, and finding academic resources.
