- Will I be safe in the residence halls?
-
Exterior doors and/or internal entrances to floors (depending on the building) are locked 24 hours a day. Students must use their key or Buff OneCard to enter the building. We ask students to assist in promoting security by not propping doors or letting in non-residents of the building. As in any area where 400+ people may live in close proximity, there is always the possibility of theft. We strongly suggest residents lock their rooms when they leave, even for a few minutes.

- Who can I ask for help in the residence halls?
-
On each floor is a resident advisor who is a sophomore or an upper-division student, knowledgeable and trained with information and resources to assist residents. There are administrative assistants who manage the residence hall offices and are very knowledgeable. In addition, a senior RA and residence hall director work directly with staff and students in managing the day-to-day living environments and operation of the building or complex.
