The Business Living and Learning Community, known to its participants as B³ (B-cubed), is enjoying its second year as a pilot program located in the Kittredge Community, which is conveniently located near the Leeds School of Business. The benefit of proximity brings the faculty and advisors closer to the students. Limited to 40 first-year students enrolled in the business school, the program participants are actively working together on their area of expertise within their business curriculum with immediate access to advisors and faculty. Students in the B³ program have the opportunity to discuss pertinent issues in their lives and in the world with the business school's dean, faculty, and career advisors.
Continuing in the spirit of building community, additional courses and seminars will be available within barefoot walking distance for the participants living in Kittredge West Hall. The small classroom setting fosters a respectful and safe learning environment that supports the Leeds School of Business' focus on intellectual inquiry into the role of business in society, including business ethics and leadership, as well as the impact of business on the environment. The B³ students are also connected with sophomore mentors who assist first-year students by sharing their wisdom of experience with them.
