Program Focus
- Explore complex social problems and challenges of communication in contemporary society
- Co-curricular activities that stress civic engagement and societal participation, including outreach and collaboration with the Boulder community
Who is Eligible
- Students with an interest in communication and society, regardless of major
Program Details
- Curriculum includes courses that satisfy the writing and core requirements in arts and sciences
- Guest lectures and seminars provide opportunities for civic engagement and societal participation with leading experts on the CU faculty and distinguished visitors to the university
- Integration of courses from its three supporting units, the Department of Communication, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and the Program for Writing and Rhetoric

To Apply:
- Select “Residential Academic Program” and “Buckingham Hall” on the program/hall assignment preference section of the online housing application
- A registration packet, schedule, and description of program courses will be mailed to you. Participation is mandatory for freshmen and for all other residents who select and are assigned to the program
- Assignment to the program will be confirmed through written correspondence from Housing & Dining Services
