Program Focus

  • The Hallett Diversity Living & Learning Community provides a safe space for students to talk and learn more about social justice issues that are important to them through conferences, events, and dialogue. This free program is comprised of the Spectrum Program for students who identify as part of the GLBTQ community and allies as well as the Diversity Program for students interested in diversity and social justice

Who is Eligible

  • Students who are interested in social justice, inclusivity, community, activism and exploring all "isms" in a safe supportive environment

Program Details

  • The program offers a variety of social and educational activities, including field trips, debates, and other programs guaranteed to raise awareness and challenge societal assumptions of underrepresented peoples
  • Facilitated by the Hallett diversity team, participants will translate the lessons from the classroom to the experiences of the community
  • Access to a gender-neutral bathroom space that provides increased access and privacy
  • Access to diversity-themed courses that fulfill a core requirement in gender and diversity

To Apply

  • Select "Living & Learning Community" and "Hallett Hall Diversity Program (LLC)" on the program/building preference section of the online housing application. Participation is mandatory for all residents who select, and are assigned to the program
  • Assignment to the program will be confirmed through written correspondence from Housing & Dining Services
