Leadership RAP

Program Focus

  • Educating first-year students for leadership roles in a global and multicultural setting through an innovative, forward-thinking curriculum that sets high standards for scholarship and leadership and fosters a lasting commitment to the betterment of society. Students enrolled in the program select one of two tracts: the Ethnic Living and Learning Community (ELLC) or the Chancellor's Leadership Studies Program (CLSP)

Who is Eligible

  • First-year student that apply to and are accepted to the program

Program Details - Chancellor's Leadership Studies Program

  • Leadership development with an emphasis on civic responsibility and community service
  • Students explore their roles and responsibilities in society, including the moral and ethical dimensions of leadership
  • Attend a leadership summit where participants explore contemporary issues related to leadership and take part in activities that develop teamwork, ethical decision making, and problem solving

Program Details - Ethnic Living and Learning Community

  • Instructors take pride in getting to know students on a personal level while engaging them in the learning process
  • Small class sizes, leadership summits, social and educational events, academic excellence, and networking
  • Provides a multicultural living and learning experience and the opportunity to study leadership from a multicultural and global perspective

To Apply

  • Select "Residential Academic Program" and "Kittredge Central - Ethnic Living and Learning Community Leadership Studies Program OR Chancellor's Leadership Studies Program" on the program/hall assignment preference section of the online housing application
  • Attend the appropriate program information meeting at summer orientation to register for classes
  • Enrollment in program courses is mandatory for all students that select and are assigned to the program
  • Assignment to the program will be confirmed through written correspondence from Housing & Dining Services
