Sustainable by Design (SbD) RAP

Program Focus

  • Hosted by the College of Engineering and Applied Science, students from many majors participate in this interdisciplinary residential academic program. It is located in Williams Village North—which is rated as one of the "10 greenest dorms" in the world and is the largest LEED Platinum rated building in the United States. This award-winning building provides students a unique opportunity to incorporate sustainability into their day-to-day living, as well as their academic degree programs

Who is Eligible

  • Undergraduate students with an interest in resource-efficient design, renewable energy, and environmental and social impacts of community development

Program Details

  • Focus on sustainability of both built and natural environments
  • Multi-disciplinary approaches to addressing sustainability issues around the globe
  • Engage students in projects that introduce qualitative and quantitative descriptions of the environment

To Apply

  • Select "Residential Academic Program" and "Williams Village North - Sustainable by Design (RAP)" on the program/hall assignment preference section of the online housing application. A registration packet, schedule, and description of program courses will be mailed to you
  • Participation is mandatory for students that select and are assigned to the program. Assignment to the program will be confirmed through written correspondence from Housing & Dining Services
